Every Thursday evening, Shill’s hosts live music alongside our tapas and wine service, running through to Saturday. It’s a relaxed way to spend an evening: good food, a well-chosen glass of wine, and a local musician playing in a room that’s small enough to feel properly sociable rather than like a big venue gig.

Our tapas and wine evenings run Thursday through Saturday each week, built around sharing plates and a wine list chosen to go with them. It’s ideal for a date night, catching up with friends, or simply treating yourself to something different midweek. Wine Tastings at Shill's
As a deli and wine bar as well as a restaurant, wine is at the centre of what we do, and we host guided wine tastings through the year led by our own team. These evenings are a good way to try something new, get proper guidance on what pairs with what, and pick up a bottle or two to take home from our shop afterwards. Why Cockermouth Comes to Shill's for Events
What makes these evenings work is the setting; a proper Cumbrian deli and wine bar in the middle of Cockermouth, rather than a generic function room. You get good food, carefully chosen drinks and live music without having to travel out of town, which is part of why so many of our events sell out to regulars before they’re even widely advertised.
